For RL/work reasons, the time available to dedicate to this game has become limited. While certain aspects of the game have not given me cause for concern, there are others with which I would like assistance, as I'm not reaching the goals I had set out for Accio. At this point, given my erratic working hours, continuing as a solo moderator is impractical.

For that reason, I am now looking to recruit one co-moderator, and up to two dedicated NPC players. Applications will be submitted through this entry (all replies are screened), and discussion will take place over AIM.

MODERATOR
The co-mod will gain access the mod account, and duties will be shared with the existing mod. AIM is required, as this is the existing mod's preferred mode of contact. These duties include:

• Application Processing
• Updating Reserves/Taken/Houses
• Answering questions on the FAQ/Mod Inbox
• Assisting with player issues and concerns
• Running of Activity Checks
• Assistance in conceiving and running of events (outside of canon ones)
• Playing an NPC where an NPCer is unavailable
• General promotion of the game

NPC PLAYER
In order to reach the game's original vision, we require dedicated NPC Players familiar with the Harry Potter setting. NPCers need to be flexible in terms of who they play, though for the most part their options will be confined to Hogwarts faculty and student body (including generic, nameless students). NPCers will be provided a shared NPC account.

Again, AIM will be required, as NPCers will be included in plot and event discussion.

The main Accio community is now open for posting!

There are two entries to the main comm. The first is a description of the campground setting, where characters will be housed until the Hogwarts school year begins. The second is the tiniest mini-event - a Dementor makes sure everyone isn't Sirius Black.

As there are currently no characters native to this world, a letters post has not been set up.

Nobody is restricted to the Dementor post (or, for that matter, to the prose format). Just post as you feel like it! The Dementor is just there for a warm-up.

I apologise, but due to issues with my ISP, my internet has been completely down since Thursday. Unfortunately, it still remains down. The estimated time of it being fixed is at 10AM BST tomorrow, but we have been warned that it may not be back up until the 22nd.

Thankfully, while it did put significant delay on processing applications when I was right in the middle of them, I have found alternative means of getting online outside of just mobile devices, and will still be able to open the game on what will be, for most of you, still the 19th.

Accio will open on the 20th August, 00:00 British Summer Time, with a small mini-event.

The OOC community is open for posting, so if you would like to make your introductions, you are more than welcome to!

With Accio's applications now opening, prospective members are being offered a chance to try out their characters in the setting! Simply go into the comments, take your character, set up a scenario (or tag someone else's) and away you go.

Please adhere to the appropriate rules and setting details while here.

For the purposes of the test drive, please assume characters are already in Hogwarts, and have been sorted into your first choice of house.

Reserves are currently open, and applications will open on August 5th.

During the period leading up to the game's opening, there will be the occasional world-building post in the main RP community, accio_rp. Those interested in the game are encouraged to take a look!

Accio will open on August 19th. Characters will not have entered Hogwarts at this point, and Outsiders will instead be housed at the campground near to Hogsmeade. They will be able to explore Hogsmeade freely during this time. The game will open with a mini-event.

Students native to Harry Potter may communicate with one another through letters, or meetups within the UK. They may also send letters of encouragement (or the opposite) to the Outsider's campground, and converse with Outsiders prior to their entry into the school through this method.

On August 27th, there will be an excursion to Diagon Alley. Characters will be able to explore this shopping district under supervision, and it is during this time they will obtain their wand. Any characters native to the world of Harry Potter will be able to meet Outsiders at this point.

The Sorting Ceremony will occur on September 3rd. First years (whether Outsiders or native) will be sorted first, followed by the remaining Outsiders.
